Walmart Learning Tour

Walmart history: What started small in 1962, with a single discount store and the simple idea of selling more for less, has grown over the last 50 years into the largest retailer in the world. Walmart, the largest employer in the world, employs over 2.5 million associates worldwide; the largest company in revenue, with fiscal year 2024 revenue of $700 billion. Each week, nearly 265 million customers and members visit its more than 11,200 stores under 55 banners in 27 countries and eCommerce websites in 10 countries.

Day One:

You will visit Walmart Museum (Sam Walton and family, Walmart History and Timeline, and Sam Walton’s 10 Business Rules and many more), attend the Workshop of How to Do Business with Walmart (New Supplier On Boarding, eCommerce and Martetplace, Replenishment and Product Life Cycle), and visit Walmart Old Headquarters, Sam’s Bury Place at Bentonville Cemetery and Bentonville Downtown neighborhood.

Day Two:

Visit Walmart New Campus (tour various buildings, meet with Walmart department leaders, Walton Life and Health Center, specialty shops and food court and cafeteria), Sam's Club Home Office, and attend the Seminar of Building Long Term Strategies with Walmart and Sam's Club (Basic requirements for selling to Walmart, Building long term strategies, Brand and product development, Team building and partner relationships).

Day Three:

Learn about Walmart stores and customers – Learning from Product Layout in Stores and Customers shopping styles and habits by visiting Sam’s Club of Bentonville, Walmart Experimenting Store at Elm Springs and nearby smaller Neighborhood Market stores.

Day Four:

Show your best product samples at the Products Showcase – Display sponsored by Startup Junkie. This is your product and time to shine, to demononstrate your capacity and product innovation. There will be a Workshop: US and Arkansas Trade opportunities sponsored by World Trade Center, Asian Business Association. You will also get a chance to visit Walton Business School and University of Arkansas.

Day Five:

Learn the impact of business to its communities - Giving back and support your communities: visiting Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, Mercy Hospital at Pinnaclehill, Bentonville West High School, Cooper Chapel at Bella Vista, and a couple of well built subdivisions in Bentonville.
